The Round Boy Report (#1)
A periodic accounting of the strategic round-metal reserves held in my desk.
I’m pleased to report that I’ve initiated purchasing a strategic reserve of coins.
Right now, I maintain custody of one (1) strategic round boy, with additional acquisitions pending review by the procurement department (eBay bidding tab).
Current Strategic Reserves
5 Centimes — Jean-Claude Duvalier FAO Issue (Haiti)
Estimated Value: $3
Mintage: 16,000,000
A symbolically important holding issued during the rule of Jean-Claude “Baby Doc” Duvalier. The coin commemorates the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) program and represents my first Caribbean reserve asset.
It is not rare, but it carries strong historical credentials which I mentioned in an earlier article.
Pending Strategic Acquisitions
I’m currently attempting to expand reserves through the acquisition of the following assets:
1961 Katanga 1 Franc
1961 Katanga 5 Francs
These coins were issued by the short-lived secessionist state of Katanga (1960–1963) during the Congo Crisis. Should the bid succeed, I will significantly diversify my holdings into breakaway-state metallic reserves.
Treasury Summary
Total Round Boys in Reserve: 1
Estimated Value: ~$3
Further updates will be issued as acquisitions are secured and reserves expand.
